Meiers fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McIntosh lands a right hook to the body.
We've been told by McIntosh's head coaches at Vancouver Island Fight Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
McIntosh lands a lovely overhand right.
Meiers dives in for a single leg takedown but McIntosh sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
An attempted straight right counter from McIntosh misses the target.
McIntosh cracks a nice hook into Meiers's ribs.
Meiers shoots in but no luck this time.
Bobby McIntosh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dadzis Meiers.
McIntosh lands with a hook. Meiers tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
McIntosh connects with a body shot that sends Meiers's belly button to the back.
Meiers closes the distance and clinches up with McIntosh, looking for a takedown. Meiers pushes McIntosh against the ropes but McIntosh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McIntosh lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.#KD#

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McIntosh drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Meiers right on the button. Meiers goes down! McIntosh follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! McIntosh gets the win via TKO!

Stanton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Stanton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Meiers sneaks back into half guard.
Meiers trying to hold on to Stanton's head to control him but Stanton postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB#
Meiers is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stanton pulls his head out easily.
Meiers regains full guard. Nicely done. #SUB#
Meiers escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stanton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Meiers has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Stanton doesn't defend quickly enough and Meiers has managed to lock this one up! Can Stanton escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Meiers on a fantastic submission victory.

Hosca scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Hosca happy to just control the position for now.
A control attempt from Meiers but he's now mounted!
Meiers is looking to improve his position but Hosca isn't that keen on the idea.
Hosca can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Meiers is looking to escape.
Meiers is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Meiers is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hosca is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.#SUB2#
Hosca has hold of Meiers's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Meiers manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
