  Sitsongrit Gym is originally a muay thai camp based in the Nakhon Pathom Province, in the Greater Bangkok Metropolitan Region, which since its 19th century restoration is a common destination for Khmer and Burmese populations as well as northeastern thais from the great Isaan region, the most traditional breeding ground for muay thai fighters.

Under financing from wealthy businessman, famed gambler, muay thai enthusiast, Mr. Theksit Ruengruong, the Sitsongrit camp breached out to MMA in 2017, having produced several champions in the 135, 145 and 155 pounds divisions across different organisations. Currently, Buriram hometown kid Kongchai Phetboonme is the Empyrean 155 pounds champion.
Kongchai is the only fighter from the camp that doesn't bear the fight name Sitsongrit, as his contract with Phetboonme Muay Thai gym is still valid.

Sitsongrit means "Student who passes along great ability" ("Sit" = student/pupil; "Song" = to pass along; "Rit" = great abilty/enormous power)
