Patrik tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hicks defends well and Patrik ends up having to push Hicks into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Hicks wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Patrik shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hicks sprawls well. Hicks wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Patrik gets slowly back to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Patrik looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
