Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Alf Ventress was cancelled. |

Mertens throws a nice looking combination but Mason bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
It looked like Mason was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Mertens.

Mason looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Mertens has Mason pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mertens pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mason tumbling to the mat - Mertens dives into Mason's guard.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
