Bateman fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jose has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Boba has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jose can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. #SUB2#
Boba had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jose defends it easily.#SU#
Jose stands and steps away. Boba gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boba is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Jose is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Jose flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Boba anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Jose and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Boba slips an arm under Jose chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Boba has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Boba is squeezing on Jose like an anaconda would it's prey. Jose fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Medina keeps the fight on the outside.
As Miura tries to get set, Medina tries to push him back and clinch up but Miura manages to avoid the attempt.
Medina tries to close the distance and clinch but Miura swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Medina backing away here, and Miura unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Miura tries to score a power double leg takedown but Medina sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Miura somewhat.
Medina throws a lazy right hand but Miura sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Miura shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Medina as he avoids it easily.

Medina is looking for a counter combo.
Frank Medina has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tenshou Miura.
