Davis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Malik counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Davis thinking.
Davis tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Malik defends well and Davis ends up having to push Malik into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
It looked like Malik was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
