Hamilton drives through and clinches with French against the cage.
Hamilton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hamilton wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but French has him pressed against the cage.
Hamilton is working for takedown but French is calmly controlling the position for now.
Hamilton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as French walks away with a smile on his face. Hamilton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
French swats away the attempt to clinch by Hamilton.
Hamilton throws a head kick that misses.
French appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Hamilton connects with a body shot that sends French's belly button to the back.
French slips a jab and a cross from Hamilton.
French tries to counter by clinching up but Hamilton breaks away and moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
French stuffs the takedown attempt from Hamilton. Hamilton gets slowly back to his feet.
Austin French has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Hamilton.#KD2#

French shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hamilton's guard.
Hamilton is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and French dives into side control.

Oh French is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hamilton goes for a double leg but French avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as French continues to drive forward.

French fails to pull the fight into his guard.

French postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
French working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

French closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hamilton quickly recovers to half guard.

French working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Hamilton looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by French! Submission of the night perhaps?
