The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodward takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Woodward stuffs the takedown attempt from Boy. Boy gets slowly back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Boy.
Nice body punch from Boy.
Boy misses with a takedown attempt - Woodward sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Woodward swats away the attempt to clinch by Boy.
Boy tries to clinch up but Woodward circles away and keeps his distance.

With the fighters up against the cage, Boy throws an elbow but misses.
Boy slowing the pace effectively.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Boy tries to pull guard but Woodward holds him up against the cage and eventually Boy drops back down to his feet.
Woodward could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Boy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Woodward pinned against the cage. Woodward gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Boy catches Woodward with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Boy dives in for a single leg takedown but Woodward sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Woodward throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Boy.
Boy swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Woodward throws a big counter combination but Boy scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Woodward throws a right and a left that Boy avoids nicely.
Woodward displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boy.
Danny Boy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Woodward throws a good cross that connects.

Boy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Woodward tries to avoid it but Boy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Woodward to the ground. Woodward escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Boy wants to clinch up but Woodward keeps it at a distance.
Woodward throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
And Boy tries to counter it with a takedown but Woodward pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Boy throws a nice looking combination but Woodward bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Boy shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Woodward eats them both and turns towards Boy to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Boy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Woodward tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Boy goes for a double leg but Woodward avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Woodward continues to drive forward.
A little feinted left hand from Woodward on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Boy connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Woodward is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Woodward is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Boy's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Boy shoots in but no luck this time.

Woodward stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Woodward wants it to stay on the feet.

Oooh a lovely combination from Attack sends Chestnar down but not out. Attack dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Dock Chestnar has been cut.
An elbow from Attack crashes against the mat.
Chestnar sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Chestnar has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Attack is on him like a limpet, forcing Chestnar back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chestnar slows down the pace here.

Chestnar has picked Attack up - he's going for a ride! Chestnar dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Chestnar keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Chestnar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Chestnar decides to stand up.
Attack swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Chestnar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Attack won't be happy with that.
Chestnar looks up at the clock and then as Attack takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Chestnar smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Attack is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Chestnar is controlling him well.
Chestnar works to advance to full mount. Attack defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Chestnar lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Attack hang on?

Attack is still in real trouble! Can Chestnar finish him?
Chestnar is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Attack goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Chestnar!

Kahones thuds a left hand into Larson's body.

Kahones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Larson tries to bench press Kahones off him but Kahones keeps the position.
Kahones creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Larson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Larson is trying to improve his position.
Larson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Kahones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Larson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kahones decides to stand and escape the position.

and Larson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kahones's knee momentarily.
Kahones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kahones throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kahones throws a head kick that misses.
It looked like Larson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Kahones moves in looking to clinch but Larson pushes him off.
Kahones lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Kahones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Larson is trying to defend but Kahones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kahones prevents Larson from improving his position.
Oh Larson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kahones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Larson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kahones lands a big elbow - Larson is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Kahones!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Don Kahones!
In his post fight interview, Don Kahones started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Ware takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Nickolas Ware has been cut.

Johnson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ware was covering up waiting for the punch and Johnson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Ware working for a triangle but Johnson defends it easily.

Ware is looking for a triangle but Johnson pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson postures up in Ware's guard and throws a big left but Ware blocks it.

Ware is working an open guard so Johnson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Ware darts in looking for a takedown but Johnson gets double underhooks and turns Ware into the cage.

Ware tries for a takedown. No joy.
Ware has Johnson pushed against the cage.
Johnson tries to break free but Ware pushes him back against the cage.

Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into Ware's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Johnson gets to his feet - Ware follows without any prompting.

Oooooh!!! Johnson has knocked Ware down with a huge combo! Johnson steps away and waves a wobbly Ware back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Ware is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ware tries to get into range but Johnson steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Ware! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Johnson scores the big KO victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hairy Johnson!
Hairy Johnson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
