T Dogg shoots in but Jimenez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jimenez tried to counter with a leg kick but T Dogg avoided it.

T Dogg moves in looking to clinch but Jimenez pushes him off.
T Dogg doesn't manage to clinch there - Jimenez circles away.
It looked like Jimenez wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
T Dogg tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

T Dogg fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jimenez, pushing him back against the cage.
T Dogg has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jimenez after a bit of a struggle.
Irvin Jimenez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyrone T Dogg.

Jimenez wants to break the clinch but can't.

Jimenez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by T Dogg.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Jimenez counters with a big head kick but T Dogg shrugs it off.

Jimenez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

T Dogg bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

T Dogg looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
T Dogg lands a hook that snaps the head of Jimenez backwards.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jimenez wants to break free but T Dogg has control.

T Dogg turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and T Dogg manages to end up in side control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
T Dogg is looking to take a break and control but Jimenez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
T Dogg has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
T Dogg lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jimenez down.

T Dogg has hold of Jimenez's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jimenez tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - T Dogg cranks the arm and Jimenez screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jimenez, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Tyrone T Dogg decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.

Snow tries to free his leg and advance position but Burt is retaining full guard.
Snow stands and throws Burt's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Snow prevents Burt from escaping the position.
Snow trying to control the action but Burt is working from the bottom.

Burt is pushing Snow's head away, looking to escape. Snow manages to hold on to the position though.

Snow stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Burt throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Snow fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Burt sprawls well initially but Snow persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Burt has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Snow is on him like a limpet, forcing Burt back against the cage.

Burt jumps guard but Snow stands there with Burt around his waist. Burt gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Burt tries to pull guard but Snow won't allow it.
Burt tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcelo Burt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Snow prevents Burt from breaking the clinch.

Snow has hold of one of Burt's legs. Burt is fighting the takedown attempt but Snow gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Snow is stalling here. Burt is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Snow seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Burt has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Burt tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Burt decides to stand back up.

Burt throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Snow tries to close the distance and clinch but Burt swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Seven Snow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Snow swivels and escapes.
Burt throws a half hearted mid kick.

Burt closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Snow to the mat! Snow manages to get full guard.

Snow pushes Burt off and scrambles back to his feet.
Burt is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Burt throws a sloppy head kick and Snow moves out of range easily.
Burt takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Burt gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Snow to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Snow stands and steps away. Burt gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Seven Snow will probably get the nod.
That's time! Burt's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Burt wants to clinch.

Snow decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snow working over Burt with some ground and pound. Burt looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Snow is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Burt defends it well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Snow has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Burt is looking to improve his position but Snow isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Snow cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Snow lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Snow wants to control the pace but Burt is squirming around nicely.

Snow tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Oh Burt is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
