Brewer's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Brewer was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Otcho shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Otcho keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Otcho tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Silva defends well and Otcho ends up having to push Silva into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Silva swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Otcho connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Silva momentarily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Otcho is defended easily by Silva.
