Horrible takedown attempt by Hampton or perhaps it was just good defense by Garrison, which made it look bad.

Garrison went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

As Smith tries to get set, Tomao tries to push him back and clinch up but Smith manages to avoid the attempt.
Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
No luck for Tomao with that takedown attempt.
Tomao tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A countering left hand to the body from Smith misses.
Tomao shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tomao gets slowly back to his feet.
