Shisuya gets caught flat footed, as Sub shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Sub throwing strikes from guard but Shisuya blocks nicely.
Sub missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sub postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Sub controlling from the top position.
Let's hope that Sub has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sub is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Shisuya is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Shisuya flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Sub anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Shisuya and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Sub slips an arm under Shisuya chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Sub has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Sub is squeezing on Shisuya like an anaconda would it's prey. Shisuya fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ii Sub!

McSpadden is looking to take a break and control but Gregory is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB#

McSpadden looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
McSpadden seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gregory does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. #T2#
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Gregory stands up and beckons McSpadden to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gregory tries to clinch up but McSpadden circles away and keeps his distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Felipe Gregory will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
