The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yanoots throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Yanoots misses with the body kick and Luigi counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Yanoots wants to control but Luigi passes into side.
Luigi decides to stand back up. Luigi steps back and let's Yanoots get back to his feet. Yanoots thuds his shin into the meat of Luigi's side. Luigi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Yanoots tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Luigi looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Luigi has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Yanoots is forced to tap!
