Ement shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nagato manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nagato wants to sweep but no luck.
Nagato keeping moving, preventing Ement from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ement looking to sit in guard and control but Nagato gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVB#

Ement shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nagato's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ement slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Ement knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nagato on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nagato is looking for a sweep. Ement is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nagato can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ement swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nagato changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ement tries to avoid it but Nagato manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ement to the ground. Ement escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nagato shoots in looking for a takedown but Ement manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nagato's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Torn Ement is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.#T3#
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Nagato crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ement - the referee stops the clock and Nagato gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ement. Nagato manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Ement has Nagato pressed against the cage, preventing Nagato from circling away and getting back to striking at range.#TD#
Ement gets control of Nagato's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ement will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Nagato postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Nagato tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nagato has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ement is looking to get back to his feet here but Nagato is keeping cool and he's managed to take Ement's back.

Ement is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Nagato gets his way!
