Effort fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Mendez to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Mendez looks to clinch but Effort throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Mendez taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

In his post fight interview, Good Effort started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Mendez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Three Thousand is looking to get back to his feet here but Mendez is keeping cool and he's managed to take Three Thousand's back.

Mendez has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Three Thousand is in real trouble here. Mendez gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Three Thousand is tapping out! Mendez wins by rear naked choke!
