Ciminieri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ciminieri wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Ciminieri can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Raw controls the pace.

Raw throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ciminieri's waist but Ciminieri gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Raw off to one side.

and Ciminieri counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
