Power has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rob is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Power.

Carter decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Carter perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Carter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stillspear for as long as he can get away with.
Carter could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Carter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Stillspear tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Carter cranks the arm and Stillspear screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Stillspear, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
