0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Hatake Pertti! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pertti scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Paasonen tries a head kick but it misses.
Paasonen tries to move into range but Pertti moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Pertti misses with a body shot.
Paasonen throws a head kick that misses. Paasonen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Paasonen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Paasonen lands in his opponent's guard. Paasonen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Pertti looking for a sweep. Not yet Pertti, not yet. Pertti manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Paasonen manages to get himself to full guard.
Pertti stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Paasonen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Paasonen throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Paasonen wants to get back to his feet but Pertti passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pertti works his way into full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Paasonen tries to hold on but Pertti pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pertti looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Paasonen is looking to get to half guard. Pertti controlling the pace for now. Pertti wants to control the pace but Paasonen is squirming around nicely. Pertti swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Paasonen is now in Pertti's guard. A big mistake from Pertti there, giving up the dominant position! Pertti looks gassed! Paasonen wants to control from the top but Pertti keeps moving. Pertti throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paasonen stands and steps away. Pertti gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Paasonen throws a nice head kick!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Paasonen feints and as Pertti raises his hands in defense, Paasonen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Pertti looking for a guillotine here but Paasonen defends easily.
Pertti utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Pertti is trying to control the position but Paasonen postures up. Pertti looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Paasonen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Pertti not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pertti is looking to stand up but Paasonen isn't so interested in that idea. Paasonen stopping the sweep attempt from Pertti. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pertti is on top in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pertti wants to control from the top but Paasonen keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pertti wants to stand but Paasonen has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Paasonen is looking to stand up but Pertti isn't so interested in that idea. Pertti wants to control from the top but Paasonen keeps moving. Pertti might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Paasonen kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Paasonen tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pertti trying to control the position from guard on top but Paasonen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Paasonen keeping full guard, as Pertti tries to pass.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Good leg kick by Paasonen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Pertti gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Paasonen trying to control the position from guard on top but Pertti is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pertti bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Paasonen's guard. Pertti pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Paasonen is keeping the position for now. Paasonen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pertti.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Paasonen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pertti has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Paasonen is proving hard to escape from. Paasonen wants to stand but Pertti is controlling the position. Paasonen throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Paasonen wants to stand and escape but Pertti is having none of it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pertti accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Paasonen misses with a head kick.

Paasonen throws a head kick that misses. Pertti's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Pertti duly obliges. Pertti lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Pertti connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A nice combination there by Pertti.
Paasonen lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Pertti throws a jab when Paasonen was well out of range. Pertti connects with a body shot. Paasonen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pertti scores with a jab. Paasonen acknowledges it with a nod of the head. A head kick misses from Paasonen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Hatake Pertti will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Pertti misses the shot to the body. Pertti with a body punch. A glancing blow. Pertti tries to keep at a distance but Paasonen has taken the fight into the clinch. Pertti wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Pertti looks to land a combination. Paasonen sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Pertti changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Paasonen circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Pertti drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Paasonen follows Pertti to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Pulli is stalling here. Jorgund is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Pulli seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jorgund has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Jorgund really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pulli. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pulli is looking for a sweep. Pulli manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Jorgund wants to get back to full guard. Pulli has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pulli working Jorgund over with strikes here. Pulli looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The referee warns Jorgund that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Jorgund is still in real trouble! Can Pulli finish him? Pulli lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Jorgund seems to have recovered his senses. Pulli has a takedown stuffed. Pulli shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jorgund but Jorgund pushes him off and we're back to square one. Pulli shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jorgund as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julli Pulli. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pulli throws a low kick but Jorgund avoids it. Pulli shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jorgund throws a nice outside leg kick. Pulli shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jorgund pinned against the cage. Jorgund gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pulli shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jorgund as he jumps to the side. Pulli fails with a takedown attempt from distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Pulli looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jorgund drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Pulli has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pulli is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Jorgund has his hands clasped together but Pulli extends an breaks Jorgund's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Pulli.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makaay throws and low kick but Phants moves out of range easily. Phants looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. No joy there for Makaay, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Makaay shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Phants pinned against the cage. Phants gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Phants dodges the punch combination from Makaay.
Makaay tries to bum rush Phants with a series of wild strikes but Phants uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Makaay takes a jab right on the kisser.
It looks like Steven Makaay has been cut. Makaay takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Phants shoots for a double leg takedown but Makaay sprawls well. He's pushed Phants's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Phants changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Makaay tries to avoid it but Phants manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Makaay to the ground. Makaay escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Phants lands with a right and another and another! Makaay is in big trouble! Phants lands again and this time it's lights out for Makaay! A quality knockout there for Phants.
