The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos stuffs the takedown attempt from Kavanagh. Kavanagh gets slowly back to his feet. Kavanagh takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Santos slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Jesus Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kavanagh tries to clinch there but Santos circles away.
Kavanagh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Santos sprawls well initially but Kavanagh persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Santos keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Santos looks like he's trying to stand up.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to trevor gunter. Well gunter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. fletcher looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Vo! fletcher controlling from mount. fletcher looking to control but Vo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Vo is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, fletcher has taken his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. fletcher looking to control the position here, rather than advance. fletcher drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now fletcher has Vo in his guard. fletcher is breathing heavily. Vo is looking to advance position but fletcher has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Vo is looking to get to half guard. fletcher with shots to the head and body - Vo looks very uncomfortable down there. fletcher wants to control the pace but Vo is squirming around nicely. Vo tries to reverse the position but fletcher maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. fletcher goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Vo turns into him and now he's in fletcher's guard.

Vo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so fletcher is just riding it out for now. Vo eventually gives up the hold. fletcher makes his way to full guard. A much better position for fletcher. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vo rushes in and drops fletcher with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
