The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pan throws a leg kick but Greco sees it coming and moves out of range. Greco keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pan throws a head kick that misses. Pan throws a sloppy head kick and Greco moves out of range easily. Pan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Greco sprawls well. Greco wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pan gets slowly back to his feet. Greco stuffs the takedown attempt from Pan. Pan gets slowly back to his feet. Keigal Greco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Pan. Pan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Greco swivels and escapes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pan misses with a head kick.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pan can do anything to dispel that myth. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Al Shakir uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gray. Al Shakir uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gray.
Al Shakir ducks under a wild hook from Gray. Al Shakir takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Al Shakir blocks a jab. Al Shakir bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Al Shakir goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! He's pushed Rage's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Rage looks for a takedown but Fu II sprawls well. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lagoo thows a body shot but no joy. Ruska avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Lagoo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ruska but Ruska pushes him off and we're back to square one. Lagoo misses with an uppercut. Lagoo throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Ruska uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lagoo. Ruska goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Lagoo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Ruska paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lagoo wants to clinch. Ruska forces Lagoo back against the ropes and clinches. Lagoo wants to get back to striking at distance but Ruska won't allow it.

Ruska throws a strike aimed at the side of Lagoo's head but Lagoo avoids it well. Ruska working the head with strikes. Lagoo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Ruska working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lagoo takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Lagoo stops Ruska from passing to mount. Ruska tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Ruska is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lagoo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Ruska swings around for an armbar but Lagoo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ruska's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lagoo stops Ruska from standing up. Ruska manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lagoo manages to get himself to full guard.
Lagoo wants to stand but Ruska is controlling the position. Ruska works over Lagoo with some ground and pound from guard. Ruskais looking to pass into half guard but Lagoo pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Lagoo is in guard. Lagoo wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Ruska's closed guard. He's half up but Ruska has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Steele is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Carlisle pulls his head out easily. Carlisle is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Carlisle wants to take a breather but Steele is having none of it. Steele moves into full guard.

Carlisle tries to hold on but Steele pushes him away. Steele raining down shots from the mount! Carlisle is breathing heavily. Steele with a couple of short strikes. Steele fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Steele has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Steele with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Carlisle for as long as he can get away with. Steele prevents Carlisle from getting the reversal. Steele with the ground and pound from mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Steele fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Carlisle to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Carlisle shrugs it off. Steele is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Carlisle can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Carlisle is desperately trying to improve his position but Steele has a good base and remains in mount. Steele lands a heavy elbow. Steele cracks Carlisle with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Steele swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Carlisle is now in Steele's guard. A big mistake from Steele there, giving up the dominant position! Steele escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Carlisle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Steele is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlisle wants to control from the top but Steele keeps moving. Steele throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carlisle won't allow Steele to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Steele as Carlisle tries to tie him up. Carlisle drops down looking for an ankle pick but Steele pulls his leg out and moves away.
Carlisle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Steele cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Gregory Steele has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Carlisle. A jab-cross combination lands for Steele and sends Carlisle crashing to the mat! Steele follows him down to the mat - Carlisle regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Steele not doing much here.
Carlisle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Steele frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Steele is landing with some decent strikes but Carlisle is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Steele lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Steele wants to control the pace but Carlisle is squirming around nicely. Steele unloading with bombs!

This has been an exciting period of action! Carlisle is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Carlisle has left one of his arms exposed and Steele doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Carlisle screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Tator is fighting it off but Rage persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tator's guard against the ropes. Rage trying to control but Tator is working from the bottom. Rage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tator. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tator has a closed guard, preventing Rage from standing up. Rage avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
