3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roberto Tozi! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bearden throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tozi was covering up waiting for the punch and Bearden finishes the takedown easily into guard. Tozi tries to land a sweep but no joy. Tozi working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Bearden has passed into half guard!
Bearden thows a huge punch but Tozi dodges it nicely.
Tozi looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bearden looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tozi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Nice strikes from Bearden there. Bearden not landing any meaningful shots this time. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Tozi blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bearden. Bearden missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Bearden lands a big shot. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karelin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bratton circles away. Karelin walks forward, straight into a front kick from Bratton. Karelin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bratton pinned against the cage. Bratton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Karelin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bratton circles away quickly and effectively. Karelin throws a series of punches but Bratton avoids them all with ease. Bratton shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Karelin can do anything to dispel that myth. Bratton controlling the action here. Karelin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bratton scores with a couple of nice shots. Bratton is looking for a kimura but Karelin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bratton to get the leverage. Bratton wants to pass to mount but Karelin is defending the position. Still in half guard, Bratton seems content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karelin wants to improve his position but Bratton is controlling well.
Bratton looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Karelin is looking for a sweep. Bratton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Creed Bratton wasn't doing enough on the ground. Bratton scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Bratton stands up and beckons Karelin to his feet. Karelin with a poor takedown and Bratton counters with a takedown into side control. Creed Bratton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mirosvaldo Karelin. Karelin looks gassed! Bratton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Karelin stops Bratton from passing to mount. Bratton is chipping away with strikes.

Bratton goes for an armbar but Karelin turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Karelin. Karelin wants to pass the guard but Bratton is keeping the position. Bratton wants to stand but Karelin is controlling the position. Karelin won't allow Bratton to sweep him here. Karelin is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bratton is pulling down on Karelin's head. It's preventing any offense from Karelin, at least for the moment. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Karelin fails with the takedown and Bratton counters with a nice low kick that buckles Karelin's knee momentarily. Bratton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Bratton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bratton in particular looking to stall. Bratton landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Bratton seems to be working for a kimura but Karelin defends the submission attempt. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Karelin has a hand on Bratton's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Bratton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Karelin. Karelin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Bratton with a poor takedown and Karelin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bratton's guard. Bratton keeping moving, preventing Karelin from controlling successfully. Karelin wants to pass the guard but Bratton is keeping the position. Karelin is breathing heavily. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bratton is on top in guard.

Bratton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Karelin tries to break free but Bratton pushes him back against the cage. Bratton landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bratton has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Karelin is trying to keep an underhook but Bratton manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Bratton perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Bratton moves into full mount! Karelin won't be happy about that! Bratton lands a big shot there that rocks Karelin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Casida throws a right hand that Powers ducks under and follows up with a left that Powers also avoids with ease. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Casida, as that shot connected.
Casida has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Powers. Casida punishes Powers's body with a nice straight punch. Casida checks the leg kick. Casida displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Powers. Powers uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Casida.
Powers shoots in and drives through. Casida sprawls well. Powers shoots in but Casida avoids the takedown attempt easily. Danial Casida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Powers has his hands clasped together around Casida's back. He's all about the action. Casida is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Powers! Powers tries to hold on but Casida pushes him away. Samual Powers has got the better of the ground game so far. Casida looking to control but Powers is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Powers tries to lock up and control but Casida gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Casida wants to control the pace but Powers is squirming around nicely. Casida pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Casida lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Powers hang on? Powers tries to lock up and control but Casida gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Casida looking to ground and pound but Powers is blocking nicely. Casida breaks from Powers's wrist control and lands an elbow. Casida postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Powers looks a forlorn figure.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Miller manages to avoid it. Horrible takedown by Miller or perhaps it was just good defense by King which made him look bad. Miller shoots in for a takedown but King shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. King looks to score with a jab to the body but Miller is just out of range. King throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Miller wants to clinch. King throws a lazy right hand but Miller sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King throws out a token jab with nothing on it. The fight stays on the outside here - Miller looks like he's thinking about clinching though. King thows a body shot but no joy.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dong gets caught flat footed, as Bearpig shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bearpig working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dong's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dong wants to sweep but no luck. Dong looking to control.
Dong has Bearpig pulled in close to control his posture. Bearpig wants to control from the top but Dong keeps moving. Bearpig really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dong is pulling down on Bearpig's head to control his posture.
We're going to have a standup here because Long Dong wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Bearpig thows a left - swing and a miss! Bearpig fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dong sprawls well initially but Bearpig persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rejo shoots in for a double leg but McMurray sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A jab-cross combination lands for McMurray and sends Rejo crashing to the mat! McMurray follows him down to the mat - Rejo regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! Rejo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but McMurray scores with a couple of nice shots.
Rejo is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice strikes from McMurray there.
