Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Richmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Rockovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andy Richmond had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 266.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Boris Rockovsky has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Andy Richmond's chin.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Rockovsky! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richmond tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rockovsky sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Richmond somewhat. Rockovsky drives through and clinches with Richmond against the cage.
Richmond has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rockovsky is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Rockovsky is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Richmond can't fight it off and eventually Rockovsky manages to take the fight to the floor. Richmond looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rockovsky drops back looking for a leg! Richmond is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Richmond manages to kick Rockovsky off! Rockovsky jumps back into Richmond's guard. Rockovsky drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rockovsky jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Rockovsky is looking to work some ground and pound but Richmond has wrist control. Richmond is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rockovsky postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Richmond is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rockovsky, into his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Richmond looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richmond works over Rockovsky with some ground and pound from guard. Rockovsky keeping moving, preventing Richmond from controlling successfully. Rockovsky escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Richmond gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Richmond wants to control from the top but Rockovsky keeps moving. Richmond lands a couple of elbows. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Richmond accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Richmond avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Richmond postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rockovsky throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Richmond escapes and throws Rockovsky's legs to the side, diving into side control! Rockovsky looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Richmond tries for a kimura but Rockovsky is defending well. Rockovsky regains half guard. Richmond stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Rockovsky to get to his feet. Richmond fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Richmond. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rockovsky gets the takedown into side control. Richmond tries to improve position but can't. Richmond on his back here. Richmond wants to control but Rockovsky postures up. Rockovsky is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Richmond knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rockovsky goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Richmond rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Rockovsky's guard! Nice work there by Richmond! Richmond thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Rockovsky looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Richmond is defending well. Rockovsky quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Richmond has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Rockovsky celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Caldwin looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pushki swats away the attempt to clinch by Caldwin. Pushki fails to land the takedown. Caldwin wants to clinch. Pushki checks a low kick from Caldwin. Caldwin tries to clinch up but Pushki circles away and keeps his distance. Caldwin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caldwin tries to clinch up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pushki decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Pushki shoots in for a double leg but Caldwin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Caldwin connects with a good right hand that stumbles Pushki. Pushki circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Caldwin wants to clinch up but Pushki keeps it at a distance. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Caldwin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pushki is proving hard to escape from.

The ground and pound from fich seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Beyer struggling a bit here. fich knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beyer on the ground. fich scores with a couple of short elbows. Beyer manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! That was a close round but I would say that josh fich will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A chopping leg kick lands by Tate. A clash of legs there as Tate blocks the low kick. Caramelo avoids a punch combination nicely.

It looks like Carmelo Caramelo has been cut. Tate throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Caramelo. A combination from Tate does no damage. Caramelo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tate manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Tate has his feet on Caramelo's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans throws a right and a left that Putin avoids nicely. Left hook, right uppercut from Putin. Putin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Evans. Putin swats away the attempt to clinch by Evans. Evans is looking to clinch. Evans wants to clinch up but Putin keeps it at a distance. Putin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Evans. Evans moves in looking to clinch but Putin pushes him off. Evans drives through and clinches with Putin against the cage.

Putin catches Evans with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Evans misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Putin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Putin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Evans circles away quickly and effectively. Jab by Putin. Evans throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Evans uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Putin. Evans rushes Putin and presses him up against the cage. Putin is trying to force a seperation but Evans has the dominant position. Putin working hard to break the clinch. Evans breaks from the clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martinez tries to score with a low kick but Hunt moves his leg out of the way. Martinez throws a head kick but Hunt moves out of range.
