The bell rings for round one and we are underway! RAUNIZIO takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. RAUNIZIO looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Fernan has managed to clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rua tries a head kick but it misses.
Boyka wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Uri Boyka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boyka stalks Rua and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rua's face. Rua staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Nicholas Rua has been cut. Rua takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Boyka misses with a series of wild punches.
Rua throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Boyka is breathing heavily. Rua lands a nice leg kick that just misses Boyka's sensitive parts. Rua throws a nice inside leg kick. Rua throws a sloppy head kick and Boyka moves out of range easily. Boyka walks forward, straight into a front kick from Rua. Boyka throws a hook but Rua blocks it. Rua lets loose with a powerful body kick. Boyka will feel that in the morning. Rua looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Boyka is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Rua moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Oh Boyka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rua darts in and clinches Boyka up against the cage. Boyka seems to have got his legs back now. Rua manages to break the clinch.

Rua turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Rua lands a big head kick that sends Boyka tumbling to the mat! Rua takes a step backwards and waves Boyka back to his feet - he wants the finish! Boyka avoids the head kick by Rua.
Rua tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boyka was well out of range. Poor timing from Rua. Rua throws a sloppy head kick and Boyka moves out of range easily. Boyka lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rua circles away quickly and effectively. Boyka throws a series of punches but Rua avoids them all with ease. Boyka will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Rua instigates a clinch. Boyka wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Rua lands a knee to the body.

Wilson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Wilson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Silliard tries to roll over but Wilson keeps him under control. Silliard avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wilson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Silliard works to full guard. Wilson wants to stand but Silliard has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Wilson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Silliard is controlling Wilson's posture. Wilson looking to pass the guard. Silliard pulls Wilson in close to prevent any damage.

Wilson wants to stand but Silliard has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Silliard is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Silliard trying to control the action but Wilson is working from the bottom. Silliard stalling.

Wilson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wilson keeping moving, preventing Silliard from controlling successfully. That was a close round but I would say that Kevin Silliard will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Silliard wants to clinch but Wilson slips to the side and Wilson counters with a three punch combo that has Silliard backing up. Silliard nods at Wilson to acknowledge the strikes. Silliard avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silliard tries to land a sweep but no joy. Wilson thows a big elbow that misses. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silliard manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wilson manages to get himself to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Kevin Silliard showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silliard, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
