The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming brawler to the mat! brawler manages to get full guard. Sanchez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. brawler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sanchez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. brawler controls Sanchez momentarily but Sanchez frees himself. Sanchez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. brawler tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. brawler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sanchez drops back looking for a leg! brawler is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and brawler manages to kick Sanchez off! Sanchez jumps back into brawler's guard. It looks like Tonka Tomas has been cut. Snakeshoes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tomas takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Tomas moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Snakeshoes throws a nice looking combination but Tomas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tomas has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
That has opened up Tonka Tomas's cut even more. A looping hook to the body misses from Snakeshoes. Tomas does a little dance to reset his feet. Snakeshoes misses with a few strikes there.

Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The fight stays on the outside here - Tomas looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Snakeshoes tries to work over Tomas's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Tomas lands with a short head shot on the inside. Tomas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Evans throws a jab when Barnes was well out of range. A momentary lapse in concentration from Evans enables Barnes to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Evans manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Barnes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Evans swivels though and keeps the full guard. Barnes is looking to work some ground and pound but Evans has wrist control. Evans will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Evans pulls Barnes in close to prevent any damage. Barnes won't allow Evans to sweep him here. Barnes trying to control the position from guard on top but Evans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Barnes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Good work there from Smoot! Lytle tries to buck Smoot off but Smoot is having none of it. Lytle is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Lytle tries to improve position but can't. Lytle is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Smoot defends it easily. Smoot wants to get up but he can't break Lytle's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smoot stands and throws Lytle's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lytle looking for a sweep but Smoot has passed into full mount! Oh no! Lytle is looking to improve his position but Smoot isn't that keen on the idea. Lytle sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Lytle actively working from the bottom here. Lytle tries to get to full guard but Smoot has control of the leg. Lytle wants to get back to full guard but Smoot has mounted him! Smoot controlling from the full mount. Smoot looking to control but Lytle is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! State catches River with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! A decent looking body kick lands there for River. State throws a hook to the side of River's head but River sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Chris River seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. River attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. River lands with a kick to the temple. State shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" A head kick from River lands but State takes it in his stride. A jab from State misses. State fakes high and swings low for a body shot but River manages to avoid it. River throws a looping overhand right but State ducks down to avoid it. River bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A shot to the liver by River. Beautiful body shot. River punishes State's body with a nice straight punch. State misses with an uppercut. River saw that one coming. That kick from River tenderised State's leg. State is trying to keep his angry face on. River throws a quick head kick that skims the top of State's head.

You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jax. DeLoria changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jax tries to avoid it but DeLoria manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jax to the ground. Jax escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. DeLoria connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Jax pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jax uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from DeLoria. Jax lands a jab.
