11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Morse Hores! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Anderson! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Hores counter with a right hand. Anderson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hores sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Anderson throws a sloppy head kick and Hores moves out of range easily. Anderson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hores tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Anderson is able to avoid easily. Hores fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hores throws a chopping leg kick but Anderson manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Horrible takedown by Anderson or perhaps it was just good defense by Hores which made him look bad. Morse Hores has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Anderson. Hores ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson lands with a slapping head kick. Anderson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hores sees it coming and avoids it easily. Hores throws a sloppy head kick and Anderson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Anderson. Anderson drops back looking for a leg! Hores is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hores manages to kick Anderson off! Anderson jumps back into Hores's guard. Hores has control of Anderson's left arm, preventing Anderson from doing any damage. Hores knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anderson on the ground. Anderson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hores has Anderson pulled in close to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Morse Hores just wasn't active enough. Hores moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Anderson tries a head kick but it misses.
Hores misses with a low kick. Anderson tries to clinch but Hores moves away and Hores counters with a two punch combo. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Anderson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hores counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hores throws a body punch but Anderson moves out of range. Hores misses with an uppercut. Hores tries to sprawl but Anderson drives through with a takedown into half guard. Hores is trying to control but can't.
Hores taking some punishment here, with Anderson in his half guard. Hores is staying active underneath Anderson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Anderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Anderson thows a huge punch but Hores dodges it nicely.
Hores is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Anderson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Anderson's back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hores's guard. Nice work there by Anderson.

Anderson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hores. Nice strikes from Hores there. Anderson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hores's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Hores has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Anderson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hores kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Hores is desperately trying to improve his position but Anderson has a good base and remains in mount. Anderson looking to finish with strikes here!

Anderson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hores counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Anderson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. and Anderson counters with a head kick. That will keep Hores thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Hores on the wrong end of a nice jab. Jason Anderson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Morse Hores is winning the standup battle so far. A shot to the body from Anderson misses and Hores counters with a lovely shot to the body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor takes a swing at Bastiat's ribcage but misses. Frederic Bastiat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Taylor throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bastiat. Bastiat misses with a takedown and Taylor counters with a stiff right hand. Taylor just misses with a punch to the body.

Barnes tries to bum rush Gusi with a series of wild strikes but Gusi uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Barnes slaps away a takedown attempt from Gusi, before circling back to the center of the mat. Gusi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Barnes's guard. Gusi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Barnes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gusi on the ground. The fight stays on the outside here - Rothschild looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kehno Onhek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Onhek throws a predictable looking body shot
enabling Rothschild to counter with a crisp jab. Onhek misses with a leg kick and Rothschild counters with a good low kick that Onhek was not able to check. Onhek fails with the takedown and Rothschild connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Rothschild lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Onhek uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Rothschild throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Onhek on the side of the head.

Crunch! Rothschild slams his shin into Onhek's torso. Onhek throws a combination that misses and Rothschild counters with a slapping leg kick. Rothschild is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Onhek can do to turn this around? Onhek is breathing heavily. A jab lands there for Rothschild. Rothschild wants to clinch up but Onhek keeps it at a distance. Onhek thows a leg kick but Rothschild checks it and Rothschild counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Rothschild is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Onhek throws a leg kick and Rothschild makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Onhek really felt that one!

They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sinatra hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rua swings for the body but Ortiz moves out of range.
Ortiz wants to clinch but Rua slips to the side and Rua counters with a nice leg kick. Rua misses with a straight right. Rua circles away from the clinch attempt letting Rua counter with a right hand. Rua throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Rua will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ortiz up against the cage. Still in the clinch, Rua scores with a nice short uppercut.

and Rua counters with a leg kick. Tito Ortiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rua shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rua was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Rua has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ortiz is trying to escape the mount.

It looks like Marcus Fenix has been cut. Fenix throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Brutus throws a predictable looking body shot
and Fenix counters with a head kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fenix scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Brutus doesn't seem bothered though. Brutus misses with a double jab
and Fenix counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Fenix lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Brutus sprawling to the canvas. Fenix follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Brutus hang on? Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fenix in particular looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fenix seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brutus does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Brutus might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fenix controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fenix lands with a nice body punch. Marcus Fenix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fenix lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Fenix cracks Brutus with an open hand slap. Brutus stuffs the takedown attempt from Fenix. Fenix gets slowly back to his feet. Fenix has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. A jab from Fenix does it's job there.

A low kick from Matazz misses and Tonal counters with a nice leg kick. Matazz tries to clinch but Tonal is having none of it. Tonal lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Tonal scores with a hook to the body. Matazz takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Tonal cracks the inside of Matazz's front leg. Matazz throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tonal on the side of the head. Tonal shoots in for a takedown!
