The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Gepardi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Nice uppercut lands for Joe. That snapped Gepardi's head back.
Gepardi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Joe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Joe wants it to stay on the feet.
Joe throws a right and a left that Gepardi avoids nicely.

Tapio on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Paristo darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Tapio fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Paristo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Tapio shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Paristo's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tapio wants to pass the guard but Paristo is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kierre has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Punchistan is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

He turns his back on Povetkin, trying to create some distance but Povetkin rushes him, striking wildly and Lee goes down! The referee tackles Povetkin into the cage to end the fight! Povetkin is one violent man!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hajime Bucket.
