The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schwartz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Osmond Schwartz has been cut. Ruckola avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Nice work! Schwartz is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Schwartz is looking for a sweep. Ruckola stands up and beckons Schwartz to his feet. Ruckola throws a head kick that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ruckola closes the distance and clinches.

Ruckola gets full guard. Ruckola has his foot on Schwartz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Schwartz works his way back into a safe position though. Schwartz slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schwartz in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Schwartz blocks the strikes from Ruckola.
Schwartz swings around for an armbar but Ruckola sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Schwartz's guard. Ruckola postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Ruckola is looking to stand up but Schwartz won't let him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruckola gets to his feet. Schwartz looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Ruckola misses with a wild combination.
Schwartz feints and as Ruckola raises his hands in defense, Schwartz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Schwartz won't allow Ruckola to get back to his feet. Schwartz passes easily into side control. Nice work. Ruckola tries to improve position but can't. Schwartz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Schwartz throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Ruckola works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Ruckola pushes Schwartz off, looking to escape but Schwartz dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Ruckola is forced to tap! The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. hullu is breathing heavily. Guy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but hullu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Guy trying to control the position but hullu is working away. hullu stops Guy from passing to mount. hullu tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Guy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. hullu dodges the ground and pound from Guy. Guy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with hullu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Guy tries to advance to mount but hullu denies him. Guy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Guy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. hullu was covering up waiting for the punch and Guy finishes the takedown easily into guard. hullu keeping full guard, as Guy tries to pass. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Guy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but hullu does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. hullu wants to get back to full guard but Guy has mounted him! hullu wants to hold on but Guy pushes him away. hullu is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Guy is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. hullu is trying to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guy postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. hullu looks a forlorn figure.
hullu really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Guy looking to control but hullu is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Guy punishing his opponent with strikes. Guy working the ground and pound effectively.

Guy trying to control but he's not successful this time. Guy stands up from mount. Strange move. Guy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. hullu tries to avoid it but Guy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag hullu to the ground. hullu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Guy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

hullu decides to take the fight back to the feet. Guy throws a combination that misses and hullu counters with a three punch combo that has Guy backing up. Guy nods at hullu to acknowledge the strikes. Guy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Guy lands in his opponent's guard. hullu not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taikina feints and as Nieminen raises his hands in defense, Taikina changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Nieminen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Taikina content to stall in guard here. Nieminen wants to stand but Taikina is controlling the position. Taikina slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Nieminen wants to stand up but Taikina is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tero Taikina. Taikina shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nieminen's guard. Taikina stays in close to Nieminen's body and controls the position. Nieminen keeping full guard, as Taikina tries to pass.

Nieminen tries to buck Taikina off but he can't manage it. Taikina is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Nieminen to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Nieminen shrugs it off. Taikina working for a submission but Nieminen is keeping him at bay. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's almost out here... but no, Taikina gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Taikina is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Nieminen's shoulder. That is not cool. Taikina's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Taikina is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nieminen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Taikina controls the pace. Nieminen wants to get back to his feet but Taikina is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Taikina throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Taikina is pushing down on Nieminen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nieminen is fighting to maintain full guard but Taikina has managed to sneak the leg through. Taikina takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bennett throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kong sees it coming and avoids it easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kong. Kong pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Bennett throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Nice body kick there by Kong. Kong connects with a jab. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kong!
Bennett steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Kong. That one must have hurt. Bennett is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Good leg kick by Kong there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Kong throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bennett counters with a nice uppercut. A decent looking cross lands there for Kong. Kong takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Kong has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Bennett takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. A head kick by Bennett misses and Kong cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Kong throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Bennett colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Kong as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Bennett is left battered and dazed whilst Kong and his camp cheer!
