8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ethan Tate! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dawkins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tate scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Tate fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dawkins manages to avoid it. Tate swinging wildly here.
Tate is looking to slow Dawkins down with leg kicks. Tate throws a nice outside leg kick. Dawkins checks the leg kick. Tate buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dawkins on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Dawkins is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! That kick from Tate tenderised Dawkins's leg. Dawkins is trying to keep his angry face on. Sloppy strikes from Tate. Those never looked like landing. Tate dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tate scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Tate lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dawkins circles away quickly and effectively. Tate scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Tate fails to land with a series of punches.
Dawkins on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Dawkins with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tate to score with a decent uppercut. I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Tate has cracked Dawkins with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Tate lands another huge swinging hook and Dawkins tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Dawkins, before Tate can land any more shots!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! STAM slips a jab and a cross from Volchenkov.
STAM shoots in but Volchenkov avoids the takedown attempt easily. STAM shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Volchenkov defends it nicely. Volchenkov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. STAM tries to clinch there but Volchenkov circles away.
STAM takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Volchenkov stalks STAM and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into STAM's face. STAM staggers backwards, shaken. Volchenkov misses with a few strikes there.
STAM wants to clinch up but Volchenkov keeps it at a distance. Volchenkov tries a head kick but it misses.
STAM shoots in for a takedown but Volchenkov shows good takedown defense. Vladmir Volchenkov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonard STAM. Volchenkov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Volchenkov wants it to stay on the feet. Volchenkov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming STAM to the mat! STAM manages to get full guard. STAM looks gassed! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! STAM is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Volchenkov defends well. STAM looking for a sweep. Not yet STAM, not yet.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Vladmir Volchenkov. STAM fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. STAM moves in looking to clinch but Volchenkov pushes him off. STAM is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Volchenkov's half guard. Volchenkov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. STAM is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Volchenkov has managed to free his arm - good work. STAM looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Volchenkov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for STAM on the ground. STAM is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Volchenkov is just riding it out for now. STAM eventually gives up the hold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Easton misses with an uppercut. Easton shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Easton lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Mark Easton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A left lands for Easton. Easton connects with a nice looking jab.
Easton takes a swing at Sanchez's ribcage but misses. Easton tries to clinch there but Sanchez circles away.

Sanchez looks to throw the jab but Easton is out of range. Sanchez throws out a loose jab but Easton uses good head movement to avoid it. Easton throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Easton lands with a hook. Sanchez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Easton scores with the left hand. Sanchez knows he should have avoided that one. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Good standup being displayed there by Easton as he connects with a hook. Easton misses with an uppercut. Easton bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sanchez's head. A shot to the body from Sanchez misses enabling Easton to counter with a crisp jab.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Darnell looks to throw the jab but Jones is out of range. Jones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Darnell backs up against the cage.
Jones throws a jab when Darnell was well out of range. Nice uppercut lands for Jones. That snapped Darnell's head back.
Darnell slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat. The fighters circle momentarily. Jones darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Darnell to the mat! Darnell manages to get full guard. Darnell is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Darnell. Darnell misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Darnell shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Bruce Darnell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Jones throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Darnell was covering up waiting for the punch and Jones finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Darnell looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Darnell! Darnell working the ground and pound. Darnell swings around for an armbar but Jones sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Darnell's guard. Jones postures up and lands a big shot to Darnell's brow. Darnell is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Darnell looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jones has picked Darnell up and slammed him! Darnell can't keep hold of the triangle and Jones manages to pass to side control! He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Jones is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment. Jones slowing the pace effectively. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Jones tries to work over Darnell's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Darnell is trying to maintain a safe position but Jones gets an underhook and turns Darnell into the cage. A frustrated look appears on Jones's face as he tries to break the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Jones. Darnell makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Darnell prevents the takedown attempt.

Darnell decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jones to his feet.

Danilo Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Stahl's calf. Stahl takes a kick to the side of the head.

Stahl crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Miller - the referee stops the clock and Stahl gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Miller. Stahl manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Miller throws the kick towards the body but Stahl avoids it. Miller throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Stahl. A shot to the liver by Stahl. Beautiful body shot. Good standup being displayed there by Stahl as he connects with a hook. A head kick misses from Miller. Miller walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Stahl blocks a head kick by Miller.

Landstrimma jabbing away but nothing is landing. Landstrimma fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Landstrimma shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Landstrimma was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Rydberg in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Eriku Landstrimma has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Landstrimma is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rydberg has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rydberg! Rydberg has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Landstrimma is proving hard to escape from.

Hero misses with a takedown attempt - Cope sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hero fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Mike Cope has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sub Hero. Cope avoids the body shot from Hero.
Hero shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cope as he jumps to the side. Excellent takedown into side control there by Hero. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Cope tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cope is not content to let Hero control the position.
