2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Slava Vitruk! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones.
It looks like Slava Vitruk has been cut. Jones clinches up against the ropes. Vitruk drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jones pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jones throws a body kick that misses. Vitruk shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Vitruk's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Good shot there by Jones. Jones lands with a right hand. Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Vitruk looks gassed! Jones tests Vitruk's chin there with a solid looking shot. John Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vitruk closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. John Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Slava Vitruk. Jones lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Vitruk should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Jones scores with a nice head shot. Vitruk gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Jones takes a shot right to the bread basket. Jones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vitruk did well to prevent Jones getting side control. Jones drops an elbow to the side of Vitruk's head. Jones winds up and cracks Vitruk with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Vitruk is not content to let Jones control the position. Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vitruk's head. Jones stalling. Vitruk is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jones sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Vitruk defending well though. Jones postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Vitruk to stand up. Vitruk looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Jones slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Vitruk gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jones stands up and waves to Vitruk to follow him. Jones lands a jab. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Vitruk gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jones moves into the clinch. Jones gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Jones stands up from guard. Let's bang! Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Vitruk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jones scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. The fighters circle momentarily. Jones darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Vitruk shoots and misses so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones gets to his feet. Vitruk looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Vitruk walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Vitruk takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jones catches Vitruk with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Jones fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Jones fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Vitruk on the side of the head. Vitruk with a lazy takedown attempt and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jones scores with a hook to the body. Vitruk takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vitruk, pushing him back against the ropes. Jones decides to pull guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vitruk stops Jones from standing up. Jones lands with a heel strike from the guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good exchange - Pawn coming out on top. Pawn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bezymynnyi fails with a takedown attempt. Black Pawn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pawn ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Bezymynnyi closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
It looks like Dmitriy Bezymynnyi has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Pawn lands with a good body shot. Bezymynnyi looks gassed! Pawn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bezymynnyi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Pawn lands a glancing blow to the side of Bezymynnyi's head. Pawn moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Bezymynnyi is rocked! Pawn ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Bezymynnyi out cold! The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fail decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Duck is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Duck is looking to escape. Duck makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Duck. Duck lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fail! Fail is working to get back to half guard.
Duck looking to control but Fail is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Duck has control of Fail's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Fail regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Fail closes the distance and pushes Duck back into the ropes. Fail breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fail swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Duck. Fail darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Epik Fail is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Duck wants to clinch up but Fail keeps it at a distance. Fail swats away the attempt to clinch by Duck. Fail throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Duck's waist but Duck gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fail off to one side. Fail keeps the fight on the outside. Duck avoids a punch combination nicely.

It looks like Epik Fail has been cut. Duck changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fail tries to avoid it but Duck manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fail to the ground. Fail escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Duck tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Duck throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fail tries to clinch up. Duck avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Duck shoots in looking for a takedown. Fail tries to sprawl out of it but Duck keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Fail manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Epik Fail has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donald Duck. Fail instigates a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duck is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. Fail tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Duck just stands there and leans against the ropes. Fail tries to score a body lock takedown but Duck shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Duck is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Petrovich crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Low - the referee stops the clock and Petrovich gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Low. Petrovich manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Low lunges at Petrovich with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Petrovich's hand. Low throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. A kick lands to the mid section there for Low. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Low pushes Petrovich away with a front kick. Petrovich on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Low scores with a decent looking hook. Low throws a nice inside leg kick. Low pushes Petrovich away with a front kick. Low lands with a kick to the ribs.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ratchenko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. idk manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
