The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Iblasin shoots in looking for a takedown. akiyama tries to sprawl out of it but Iblasin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. akiyama manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Iblasin tries to bum rush akiyama with a series of wild strikes but akiyama uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Iblasin throws a left that rocks akiyama and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Iblasin dives into side control, looking to finish! Can akiyama regain composure!

Yamada is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Watson connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Yamada to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Watson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Alves is defended easily by Smith. Alves shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily. Alves fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mike Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Corey Alves. Smith drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alves is not content to let Smith control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Alves is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Alves pushes Smith away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Smith gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Alves defending against the ground and pound. Smith misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Alves is rocked! Smith controlling the pace for now. Mike Smith is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Smith seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Alves for as long as he can get away with.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dave Sanemoto! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanemoto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sanemoto throws out a leg kick but Gustavsson moves out of range and Sanemoto only half commits. Sanemoto is looking to clinch. Sanemoto gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sanemoto tries to score with a low kick but Gustavsson moves his leg out of the way. Alex Gustavsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gustavsson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Sanemoto pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gustavsson darts in and clinches Sanemoto up against the cage. Gustavsson looking to slow down the pace here. Gustavsson managing to block the knees to the body from Sanemoto.

Sanemoto's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A looping hook to the body misses from Sanemoto. Gustavsson does a little dance to reset his feet. Gustavsson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanemoto tries to clinch but Gustavsson is having none of it. Gustavsson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sanemoto on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Sanemoto throws a sloppy head kick and Gustavsson moves out of range easily. Gustavsson lands with a shot to the body. A decent looking cross lands there for Gustavsson. Gustavsson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sanemoto on the side of the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Gustavsson clinches but Sanemoto breaks the clinch and Sanemoto makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Gustavsson really felt that one! Gustavsson lands a jab to the nose.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gustavsson lands with a straight right. Sanemoto didn't see that one coming. Gustavsson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sanemoto's head. Gustavsson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Sanemoto looks gassed! Gustavsson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Gustavsson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Gustavsson misses with the combination.
Gustavsson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Sanemoto tried to score with a low kick but Gustavsson checks it. A jab from Gustavsson finds it's way through Sanemoto's defenses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gustavsson circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Sanemoto drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Gustavsson follows Sanemoto to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Musk closes the distance and clinches up with chan, looking for a takedown. Musk pushes chan against the cage but chan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Musk bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. chan is trying to improve his position. chan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! chan scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Musk strikes from the bottom but chan uses the opportunity to move to side control.
chan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. chan scoring with punches and elbows. chan has hold of Musk's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Musk tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - chan cranks the arm and Musk screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Musk, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
