Horrible takedown by St Pierre or perhaps it was just good defense by Masolini which made him look bad.
Masolini throws a solid leg kick but St Pierre takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Masolini.
Masolini is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A head kick lands from Masolini that sends St Pierre to the canvas. St Pierre tries to scramble back to his feet but Masolini brings him back down into side control.
St Pierre might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
St Pierre throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Masolini throws a strike aimed at the side of St Pierre's head but St Pierre avoids it well.

Um decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Um in particular looking to stall.

Um looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jackson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Um slows the pace down in half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
