Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Defoe Gracie! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown throws a right and a left that Gracie avoids nicely. Brown moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Gracie misses with a straight right. Gracie walks into a straight right hand from Brown. Brown lands a head shot. Brown lands a lovely overhand right. Gracie scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Brown doesn't seem bothered though. Gracie takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Brown.
Brown stalks Gracie and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gracie's face. Gracie staggers backwards, shaken. Gracie throws a big shot that misses. Brown throws a shot from downtown. Gracie moves away and avoids it. Brown throws a right and a left that Gracie avoids nicely. No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A slow jab from Brown misses its intended target. Brown staying out of range there. Brown tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gracie misses with a hook. Brown ducked under it nicely. Brown gets caught flat footed, as Gracie shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brown has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Brown's legs - danger averted. Brown is breathing heavily. Brown keeping full guard, as Gracie tries to pass. Brown looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Gracie with a flurry of punches that miss. Gracie throwing strikes from guard but Brown blocks nicely. Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Brown is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brown manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Brown's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gracie accidentally thumps the mat. Gracie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gracie looking to pass the guard. Brown trying to keep a closed guard but Gracie is proving a slippery customer.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Gracie looking to pass the guard. Brown avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Brown is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gracie is aware though and is defending well. Brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Gracie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brown works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Brown has wrist control. Gracie wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving. Brown is looking for a guillotine. That was a close round but I would say that Mark Brown will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Gracie has control of Brown's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Brown regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Defoe Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Gracie is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Brown to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Brown shrugs it off. Gracie landing strikes, looking to finish! Gracie goes for an armbar but Brown turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Brown. Brown is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gracie manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Brown prevents Gracie from improving his position. Brown is trying to control. Gracie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Brown is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

And that's the end of the fight! Defoe Gracie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Gracie has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sai Yuk moves forwards but Malelei connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Fong Sai Yuk has been cut. Sai Yuk throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Malelei misses with a wild body shot. Sai Yuk shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Malelei manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Malelei will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sai Yuk in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sai Yuk wants to control the pace but Malelei is squirming around nicely. Sai Yuk loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Malelei scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Sai Yuk land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Sai Yuk stands and salutes the crowd.
