Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Relson Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leto II Atreides (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leto II Atreides told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Relson Ribeiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leto II Atreides! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Atreides works over Ribeiro's head and body with a nice combination. Ribeiro has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ribeiro there as he acknowledges the shot. Ribeiro fails in his attempt to clinch. Ribeiro takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. This has been an exciting period of action! Decent striking displayed by Atreides there.
Atreides has closed the distance and engaged Ribeiro in a clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Atreides.
Atreides's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Atreides lands a hook to the side of the head. A short right from Atreides on the inside. Ribeiro is breathing heavily. A body shot lands from Atreides.
Atreides is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Atreides taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Atreides. Atreides lands with a right to the head. Atreides lands a nice uppercut.
 Ribeiro is rocked! Atreides makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Oh Ribeiro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Atreides lands a body shot in the clinch.
Atreides lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Atreides lands an uppercut. A short right from Atreides on the inside. Atreides lands an elbow inside that Ribeiro shrugs off.
Atreides breaks from the clinch.
Ribeiro walks straight into a right hand from Atreides - that's dropped him! Atreides jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Ribeiro from any more punishment! Ribeiro complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sun Tzu! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tzu tries to close the distance and clinch but Takeda swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tzu tries to clinch but Takeda is having none of it. Tzu takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Takeda paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Tzu fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Takeda looks to land a right hand but Tzu moved out of range. Takeda throws a looping overhand right but Tzu ducks down to avoid it. Tzu scores with a one two! Takeda had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
 It looks like Kawakami Takeda has been cut. Takeda attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Horrible takedown by Tzu or perhaps it was just good defense by Takeda which made him look bad. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tzu fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A big left from Takeda misses. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Takeda.
Tzu lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Takeda backs up against the cage.
Nice takedown defense from Takeda. No joy for Tzu on that attempt. Kawakami Takeda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sun Tzu. Takeda looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Takeda lets loose with a powerful body kick. Tzu will feel that in the morning. Sun Tzu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tzu fails with a takedown attempt.  That's one minute gone in the round. Takeda cracks the inside of Tzu's front leg. Takeda scores with a push kick. Tzu throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Takeda throws a front kick that sends Tzu stumbling back into the cage. Tzu takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Takeda thuds his right hand into Tzu's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Takeda misses with a looping left. An inside leg kick lands from Takeda. Tzu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Takeda.
The fighters circling - Takeda throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Takeda delivers a nice body kick. Takeda lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tzu's sensitive parts. Takeda scores with a kick to the midsection. Takeda lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Takeda scores with the left hand. Tzu knows he should have avoided that one. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takeda feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Tzu's calf. Good leg kick by Takeda there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Tzu throws a right hand that Takeda ducks under and follows up with a left that Takeda also avoids with ease. Takeda buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Tzu on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Tzu takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Takeda bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tzu's head. Takeda pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tzu crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Takeda - the referee stops the clock and Tzu gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Takeda. Tzu manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Tzu blocks a jab. Takeda fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tzu. Tzu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Takeda throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tzu sees it coming and avoids it easily. Tzu's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Tzu sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. A chopping leg kick lands by Takeda. Takeda loads up on a big right hand but Tzu slips the punch. Takeda fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tzu has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A head kick misses from Takeda. Takeda feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Tzu's calf. Takeda pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tzu scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Takeda lands a jab to the nose. Takeda fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tzu has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Tzu steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Takeda. That one must have hurt. Takeda connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Tzu looks to land a combination but Takeda avoids it well. Takeda throws a head kick that half lands.
Takeda lands a front kick. Takeda takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Tzu has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Takeda. Tzu takes one on the button.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Takeda thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Tzu if he has to take too many more of those.
Tzu is trying desperately to land a takedown but Takeda is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Tzu. Some wild striking there from Tzu.

He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Takeda throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Tzu stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Takeda. Takeda is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tzu can do to turn this around? Takeda connects with a leg kick. Tzu looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Tzu moves in looking to clinch but Takeda pushes him off. Tzu fails in his attempt to clinch. Rodrigo Nogueira tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Haas wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Haas tries to advance to mount but Rodrigo Nogueira denies him.
Haas is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rodrigo Nogueira is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heiwajima loads up on a big right hand but Aoshi slips the punch. Heiwajima throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Heiwajima stuffs the takedown. Aoshi lands with a slapping head kick. Aoshi takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
I looks like Aoshi might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Will Aoshi go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Quinton Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matt Brennan! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Jackson does no damage. Jackson thows a body shot but no joy. Brennan misses with a looping left. Jackson moves out of range of the strikes. Jackson throws a series of strikes that have Brennan backpedaling.
 It looks like Matt Brennan has been cut. Matt Brennan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brennan cracks Jackson with a right hand to the side of the head. Brennan showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jackson.
Jackson slips a jab from Brennan. Jackson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brennan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jackson misses with a looping left. Brennan misses with a straight right. Jackson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brennan throws out the jab. Jackson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Jackson thows a body shot but no joy. Brennan looks to throw the jab but Jackson is out of range.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson defending well as Brennan loads up on a big left hand. Brennan misses with a looping right. Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Brennan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Brennan misses the body punch and Jackson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A jab from Brennan misses. Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brennan circles away quickly and effectively. Jackson misses with a two punch combination.
Brennan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jackson momentarily.
Jackson throws a shot from downtown. Brennan moves away and avoids it. Brennan throws an overhand right that lands on Jackson's shoulder, as Jackson tries to avoid the shot. Brennan looks to land a left hand but Jackson moved out of range nicely. Brennan misses with a body punch
and Jackson counters with a three punch combo that has Brennan backing up. Brennan nods at Jackson to acknowledge the strikes. Jackson cracks Brennan with a right hand to the side of the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jackson tries to bum rush Brennan with a series of wild strikes but Brennan uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Brennan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jackson counters with a straight right hand.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brennan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brennan slips under a jab from Jackson. Brennan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Brennan. No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Brennan looks gassed! Brennan looks to score with a jab to the body but Jackson is just out of range. Brennan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
 That has opened up Matt Brennan's cut even more. Brennan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jackson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jackson drops Brennan with a huge uppercut! Brennan drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Jackson is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
