The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murney tries to close the distance and clinch but MacCarthy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Chris Murney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Murney is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Murney misses with a two punch combination.
MacCarthy darts in trying to clinch and Murney counters with a right hand to the body. Murney really is a fat lump. A combination from Murney does no damage. A left and a right from Murney both land. Schnidt throws a right hand that Abortion ducks under and follows up with a left that Abortion also avoids with ease. Abortion throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Abortion lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Schnidt circles away quickly and effectively. Ned Schnidt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Abortion slips a straight right by Schnidt. Abortion is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Schnidt has managed to clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Schnidt. Schnidt lands an uppercut. Schnidt lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Abortion wants to break free. The fighters circle momentarily. Russell darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Russell throws a right and a left that both miss.

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Sandoval screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bryant throws a nice looking combination but Aoki bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Aoki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bryant feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. He has the arm isolated but Aoki is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bryant tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Bryant looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Aoki seems to have locked his on tight now - Bryant screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Aoki, as he picks up the win!

Nice straight punches there by LeBlanc. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of LeBlanc. Viking tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. LeBlanc manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. LeBlanc throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. LeBlanc lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
LeBlanc lands a left and a right that send Viking crashing to the mat, dazed. LeBlanc thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Viking is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A jab from LeBlanc finds it's way through Viking's defenses. Oh Viking is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! LeBlanc ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Viking's jaw. Viking's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! LeBlanc does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thorburn lands an overhand right. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McCoy. McCoy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McCoy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Thorburn tries to reverse the position but McCoy maintains control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Thorburn is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
McCoy sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Thorburn tries to lock up and control but McCoy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Thorburn has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
