And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Renten!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renten stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Renten wants it to stay on the feet.
Gass changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Renten tries to avoid it but Gass manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Renten to the ground. Renten escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jack Renten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gass avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Renten misses with a hook.
Horrible takedown by Gass or perhaps it was just good defense by Renten which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Gass. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gass uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Renten.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gass looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Renten is fending him off so far but Gass persists. Nope, Renten circles away and we're back to standing.

Gass shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Renten but Renten pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Gass walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Gass slips under a jab from Renten.
Renten throws a jab when Gass was well out of range.
Renten misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Renten is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gass.

Gass closes the distance and clinches up with Renten, looking for a takedown. Gass pushes Renten against the ropes but Renten circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Renten connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gass's hands.
Gass moves out of range of the strikes.
Renten takes a swing at Gass's ribcage but misses.
Renten misses with a hook. Gass ducked under it nicely.

Renten misses with an uppercut. Gass saw that one coming.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Gass bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Jack Renten showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Renten will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Renten, as that shot connected.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gass shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Renten sprawls well. Renten wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gass gets slowly back to his feet.
Gass shoots for a takedown but Renten saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gass will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kyle Gass showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Renten has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Venturia uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rekdal.

Venturia cracks Rekdal with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Venturia has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rekdal to stand back up!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rekdal connects with a combination that backs up Venturia into the cage. Rekdal lands a flurry of punches that gets past Venturia's guard. Venturia is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Rekdal bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

Kantola gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Faure to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Faure drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kantola manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Faure has Kantola in his guard.
Faure is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Faure is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kantola has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Faure throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kantola was covering up waiting for the punch and Faure finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kantola is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Faure has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kantola is looking to defend but Faure has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kantola! Faure pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kantola taps out and this one is all over!

Wilson lands a big head kick that sends Pires tumbling to the mat! Wilson takes a step backwards and waves Pires back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Augusto Pires has been cut.
Wilson drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Pires right on the button. Pires goes down! Wilson follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Wilson gets the win via TKO!

Heartman has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Sanches is defending well but eventually Heartman manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Sanches has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
