13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Augusto Ricardo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Son Young! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ricardo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Young is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Ricardo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ricardo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Young defending well though. Ricardo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Young trying to control here.
Ricardo throwing shots but Young is blocking nicely. Young is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Young trying to control but Ricardo is working from the bottom. Ricardo wants to sweep but no luck. Ricardo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ricardo tries to get out of the position. Ricardo wants to hit a switch here but Young passes into full mount! Young breaks from Ricardo's wrist control and lands an elbow. Young working away from the top, dropping strikes. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Young with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Ricardo tries to bench press Young off him but Young keeps the position.

Ricardo is in trouble now - Young has advanced to mount! Ricardo tries to lock up and control but Young gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Young has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Young cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Young postures up in Ricardo's guard and throws a big left but Ricardo blocks it. Young controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Young trying to control but Ricardo is working from the bottom. Ricardo tries to strike from the bottom.
Ricardo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Young's guard. Ricardo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ricardo trying to control the position from guard on top but Young is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Augusto Ricardo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Son Young is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ricardo postures up in Young's guard and throws a big left but Young blocks it.
And that's the end of the fight! Son Young comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Young has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. A telegraphed right hand from Pippen misses the target. Pippen thows a body shot but no joy. Pippen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. MacLachlan tries to land a leg kick but Pippen saw it coming and moves away.
Pippen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but MacLachlan manages to avoid it. MacLachlan takes a body punch but keeps moving. Pippen throws an overhand right that lands on MacLachlan's shoulder, as MacLachlan tries to avoid the shot. Pippen fails in his attempt to clinch. MacLachlan moves away from the strike by Pippen. Pippen gets a clinch. Pippen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Pippen lands a head shot. MacLachlan slips a straight right by Pippen.

MacLachlan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

MacLachlan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Pippen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but MacLachlan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Cayden MacLachlan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pippen checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Pippen throws an overhand right that lands on MacLachlan's shoulder, as MacLachlan tries to avoid the shot. MacLachlan darts in and clinches Pippen up against the cage. Pippen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

I think Warner might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Taking Back Sunday - MakeDamnSure. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knocker keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rape. Knocker checks a low kick from Rape. No joy there for Knocker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Knocker looks to land a combination but Rape avoids it well. A leg kick checked by Rape. Knocker misses with a hook. Rape ducked under it nicely. A head kick misses from Knocker. Rape tests Knocker's chin there with a solid looking shot. Rape lands with a cross. Knocker loads up on a big right hand but Rape slips the punch. Knocker takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Rape connects with a nice looking jab.

Rape throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Knocker on the side of the head. Rape goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Huynh blocks Marchetti's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Marchetti in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Huynh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Marchetti really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huynh has control of Marchetti's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Marchetti regains control of the situation pretty easily.

A decent looking cross lands there for Brown. Brown is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Pyotr Alexandrovna's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Alexandrovna avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Brown. Leroy Brown is winning the standup battle so far. Brown cracks Alexandrovna with an open hand slap. Alexandrovna shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Alexandrovna has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
