2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Hill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dumaz Stonemen! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stonemen throws a leg kick that misses. A jab from Hill misses. Hill lands the left hand. Hill looks to score with a jab to the body but Stonemen is just out of range. Stonemen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hill throws out the jab. A jab from Hill misses. Stonemen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hill sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stonemen somewhat. Stonemen ducks under a wild hook from Hill. Bobby Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stonemen walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hill checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hill misses the shot to the body. A nice inside leg kick there by Stonemen. That's going to slow Hill down. Hill looks to land a left hand but Stonemen moved out of range nicely. Hill lands a really nice looking cross but Stonemen seems unphased.

Hill swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hill throws a jab when Stonemen was well out of range. Stonemen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hill circles away. Bobby Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Hill waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Stonemen. Hill smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Hill throws an overhand right that lands on Stonemen's shoulder, as Stonemen tries to avoid the shot. Hill throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hill throws an overhand right that lands on Stonemen's shoulder, as Stonemen tries to avoid the shot. Hill throws a hook to the side of Stonemen's head but Stonemen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A punch lands to the side of Stonemen 's head but he takes it in his stride. Stonemen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Hill throws a body punch but Stonemen moves out of range. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Stonemen might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Hill has got the better of the exchanges. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wright throws a jab but it's blocked by McMurphy. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McMurphy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wright has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wright and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Wright comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Wright takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Wright ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McMurphy moves away. McMurphy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. McMurphy is breathing heavily. Wright is refusing to be controlled, as McMurphy sits in half guard. McMurphy seems to be working for a kimura but Wright defends the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McMurphy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wright, who protects the arm well.

Wright isn't going anywhere. McMurphy wants to control but Wright is keeping him busy. The strikes coming from McMurphy are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
