The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaylock shoots in for a takedown but Jay shows good takedown defense. Jay scores a takedown into full mount! Jay trying to control but he's not successful this time. Jay jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Blaylock is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Blaylock and Jay has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jay wants to control but Blaylock is keeping him busy. Jay has knee on belly momentarily but Blaylock bucks him off and regains half guard. Blaylock blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jay.

Jay trying to control but Blaylock is working from the bottom. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. OK we're going to have a standup here. Mr Jay hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Blaylock with a lazy takedown attempt and Jay counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Blaylock is breathing heavily. Blaylock takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Mookie Blaylock has been cut. Jay grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Blaylock takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Jay cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. wuzzy connects with a right hand. Murphy shakes it off. wuzzy lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A swing and a miss from Murphy. Murphy needs to keep his hands up - wuzzy had a free shot at his head there. wuzzy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Murphy. A punch combination from wuzzy misses. Murphy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Murphy takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

The cut above Sean Murphy's eye is starting to cause him problems now. wuzzy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. fuzzy wuzzy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. wuzzy tests Murphy's chin there with a solid looking shot. Sean Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Murphy looks gassed! Murphy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A left lands for wuzzy. Nice takedown defense from wuzzy. No joy for Murphy on that attempt. fuzzy wuzzy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Murphy. Good exchange - wuzzy coming out on top.
Sean Murphy's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. wuzzy lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Murphy can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from wuzzy and Murphy drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by wuzzy.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalei shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Marshall trying to control from the bottom.

Gibson ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Alexander takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Gibson lands a hook that stumbles Alexander back into the cage. Gibson follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Alexander to the canvas! Gibson pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Alexander has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johan Elia! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Elia. Shifflett does a little dance to reset his feet. Elia loads up on a big right hand but Shifflett slips the punch. Elia swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Shifflett shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Elia lands a jab to Shifflett's midsection. Shifflett cracks the inside of Elia's front leg. Shifflett fails in his attempt to clinch. Shifflett misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Elia counters with a left to the body. Elia misses with an uppercut. Shifflett saw that one coming. Shifflett throws a right and a left that Elia avoids nicely. Elia will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Elia stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Elia throws the left hand but Shifflett avoids the punch easily. Shifflett steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Elia. Shifflett throws a right and a left that Elia avoids nicely. Elia works the jab nicely. Shifflett throws a sloppy head kick and Elia moves out of range easily. Johan Elia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. An inside leg kick from Shifflett misses. Shifflett is looking to clinch. Nice defenses there by Shifflett. Elia misses with a straight right. Shifflett tries to bum rush Elia with a series of wild strikes but Elia uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Shifflett scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Elia throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shifflett sees it coming and avoids it easily. Shifflett throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Elia. Elia stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Shifflett throws a combination that misses and Elia counters with a big right hand! Oh Shifflett is in trouble here! Elia follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Betoli keeps the fight on the outside. Dukem tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Betoli shoots in but Dukem avoids the takedown attempt easily. Betoli shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Betoli seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dukem does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Betoli looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Betoli is keen to just control but Dukem is a slippery customer. Dukem tries to roll over but Betoli keeps him under control. Dukem is pressing down on Betoli's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Betoli is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dukem is trying to control the position but Betoli postures up. Betoli is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Betoli is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Dukem trying to control but not successfully. Dukem is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Betoli is staying active. Betoli keeps control of the position as Dukem tries to break free.
Dukem is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Betoli off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Good control from Betoli. Betoli throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mario Betoli clearly takes that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Betoli is not going to allow Dukem to sit and survive in this position. Betoli is cranking Dukem's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Dukem! He's tightened the choke and Dukem is tapping out!
