The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lao fails with the takedown and Dickson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Dickson stops Lao from getting back to his feet.
Dickson drops an elbow to the side of Lao's head. Dickson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lao fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Derson sprawls well initially but Lao persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Lao content to control rather than advance. Derson wants to get back to his feet.
Lao not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lao trying to control the pace.

We're going to have a standup here because Jair Lao wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Lao shoots in looking for a takedown but Derson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lao's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Lao tries to grapple but his opponent circles and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Lao has his takedown stuffed and Derson counters with a nice body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Derson throws a right and a left that both miss. Nice takedown defense from Derson. No joy for Lao on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jair Lao. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lao drives through with a takedown into guard. Lao won't allow Derson to get back to his feet. Lao slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. Derson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Derson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kong shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tresh counters with a left to the body. Kong wants to clinch and Tresh counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Kong misses with a takedown and Tresh counters with a series of strikes. Kong will be more careful next time no doubt. Kong shoots and misses and Tresh counters with a left to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Kong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kong is breathing heavily. Kong tries to clinch but Tresh moves away and Tresh counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tresh closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like King Kong has been cut. Tresh lands with a right hand. Tresh pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kong back to the cage. Tresh follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Kong blocks a head kick by Tresh.
Tresh scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Tresh stuns Kong with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Kong takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Oooooh!!! Tresh has knocked Kong down with a huge combo! Tresh steps away and waves a wobbly Kong back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

That's one minute gone in the round. Tresh steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Kong is out on his feet! Tresh sets himself and nearly takes Kong's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carwin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bronson on the side of the head. Carwin takes the fight into the clinch. Bronson manages to pull guard.
Bronson looking for a guillotine here but Carwin defends easily.
Carwin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bronson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Carwin passes into side control.
Carwin throwing strikes but Bronson manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carwin can do anything to dispel that myth. Bronson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bronson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carwin, who protects the arm well. Bronson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bronson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Carwin has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bronson but great work by Carwin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bronson tries to buck Carwin off but Carwin is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Bronson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Carwin misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Carwin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by FiveX Carwin. Bronson scores with a nice head shot. Carwin takes a swing at Bronson's ribcage but misses. A shot to the body from Carwin misses and Carwin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Bronson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Carwin.
Bronson throws a leg kick but Carwin sees it coming and checks it nicely. Bronson tries to sprawl but Carwin drives through with a takedown into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carwin is taking a breather. Bronson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Carwin slips a nice elbow through Bronson's hands, connecting with Bronson's forehead. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. That's better than Carwin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Carwin controlling the position easily from mount. Carwin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Charlie Bronson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
And that's the end of the fight! FiveX Carwin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Carwin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gill on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. John Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Doe tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gill manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Gill on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Doe fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gill has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Doe connects with a solid leg kick. A nice leg kick lands there from Doe. A chopping leg kick lands by Doe. Doe lands with a thumping leg kick.

Gill's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Gill walks forward, straight into a front kick from Doe. Doe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Doe fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gill. Gill takes a head kick and keeps coming.
