Nogueira slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Nogueira shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. White manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Nogueira drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but White manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nogueira has White in his guard.
White got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nogueira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, White has managed to get both his arms back between Nogueira's legs - danger averted.

White wants to get up but he can't break Nogueira's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lessard.
Lessard drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Sama ducks under a wild hook from dux.
dux throws a hook but Sama avoids it easily.

A big left from dux misses.
dux cracks Sama with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
dux misses with an uppercut. Sama saw that one coming.
dux scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
frank dux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
dux misses with a wild body shot.
dux swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A looping hook to the body misses from dux. Sama does a little dance to reset his feet.
dux lands a really nice looking cross but Sama seems unphased.
dux is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Sama shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Sama seems to be looking for submissions.
Sama has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can dux defend it? Sama steps over the head and cranks it - dux is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sama!
