Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Graham Donnerton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miro Gannad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miro Gannad struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gannad shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Donnerton as he avoids it easily.

Rome Andrek told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Frazier swivels and escapes.
Frazier gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Smith counters with a takedown into side control.
Frazier is not content to let Smith control the position.
Frazier is trying to get back to half guard.
Smith happy to just control the position for now.
Smith trying to control the position but Frazier is working away.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Frazier decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Smith is trying to get back to full guard.
Frazier wants to pass to mount but Smith is defending the position.
Smith is trying to maintain the position but Frazier is very close to passing his half guard.
Smith desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Dave Smith just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
