The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Canses tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but OKeefe paws at him with a jab and circles away. OKeefe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Canses. Nice sprawl there from OKeefe as Canses shoots in. Canses changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. OKeefe looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Canses blocks the strikes from OKeefe.
Canses taking a breather here. OKeefe defending against the ground and pound. OKeefe is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Canses off and has taken his back! OKeefe scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

Kawolski scores a takedown into full mount! Dardy tries to lock up and control but Kawolski gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kawolski throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Poor strikes thrown by Kawolski there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Kawolski has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dardy's face.
Dardy is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Kawolski has control of Dardy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dardy regains control of the situation pretty easily.

This has been an exciting period of action! Kawolski shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dardy is trying to defend but Kawolski finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Kawolski wants to take a breather but Dardy is having none of it. Dardy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kawolski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dardy can do anything to dispel that myth. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Leonard Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Khan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hain paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hain gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Khan throws out a loose jab but Hain uses good head movement to avoid it. Hain scores with a jab to the body. Sloppy strikes from Khan. Those never looked like landing. Hain clinches up against the cage. Hain prevents the takedown attempt.
Hain has picked Khan up - he's going for a ride! Hain dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Hain prevents Khan from improving his position. Khan trying to control but Hain postures up.

Khan tries to lock up and control but Hain gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hain is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Khan can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Hain has hold of Khan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Khan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Hain distracts Khan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hain has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hain won't allow Khan to sweep him here. Hain wants to pass the guard but Khan is keeping the position. Khan keeping moving, preventing Hain from controlling successfully. Hain sitting in guard here, content to control. Leonard Khan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

And that's the end of the fight! Alister The Demon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well The Demon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The fight stays on the outside here - Cox looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hoost swats away the attempt to clinch by Cox. Hoost works over Cox's head and body with a nice combination. Hoost throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hoost fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cox. Cox wants to clinch. Remy Hoost seems to be getting the better of the standup. The fighters circling - Cox throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Hoost manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A big left from Cox misses.

Hoost throws a sloppy head kick and Cox moves out of range easily. Cox scores with a punch to the head. Hoost moves out of range as Cox strikes. Hoost tries to land a front kick but Cox steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Hoost swats away the attempt to clinch by Cox. Hoost moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Cox closes the distance but Hoost moves to the side and Hoost counters with a series of strikes. Cox will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Hoost. Cox missing with a left hand there. Hoost was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Cox chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hoost can pounce on him.

Cox lands a glancing blow to the side of Hoost's head. Hoost lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Hoost throws a leg kick but Cox moved away. Hoost throws a leg kick and Cox cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Cox lands a lovely overhand right. Cox missing with a left hand there. Hoost was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Hoost takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A combination from Hoost does no damage. Hoost looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hoost avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

A low kick from Hoost misses and Cox counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hoost thinking. Cox misses with a takedown attempt - Hoost sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hoost keeps the fight on the outside.

Hoost is fighting it off but Cox persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hoost's guard against the cage. Cox tries to free his leg and advance position but Hoost is retaining full guard. Cox stands and throws Hoost's legs to the side, diving into side control. Hoost managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Cox.
Cox wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hoost, who protects the arm well. Hoost gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoost is looking to get to half guard. Cox is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hoost is surviving well by controlling Cox's body position as best he can. Cox is looking to work his way around to Hoost's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cox unloads with some shots from mount but Hoost bucks and avoids them well.
Cox tries to control but Hoost wriggling away. Cox controlling the position easily from mount. Cox can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hoost is looking to escape. Remy Hoost has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Cox is trying to take his opponent's back.

Hoost is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Cox gets his way!
Will Cox go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
