The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jenkins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jenkins throws a push kick but Turpitudo slaps the foot to one side. Jenkins wants to land a leg kick but Turpitudo is out of range. Leeroy Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Turpitudo moves out of range as Jenkins throws a body kick.

Turpitudo thows a body shot but no joy. Jenkins tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Turpitudo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Turpitudo misses with a wild body shot. A head kick misses from Jenkins. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jenkins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Turpitudo. Jenkins closes the distance looking to clinch and Turpitudo counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Turpitudo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Turpitudo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Turpitudo is trying to control the action in half guard but Jenkins is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jenkins pushes Turpitudo off looking to stand but Turpitudo dives back in and keeps control.

I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Turpitudo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jenkins blocking the ground and pound attempt from Turpitudo. Turpitudo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Turpitudo trying to control the position from guard on top but Jenkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jenkins working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Turpitudo. Turpitudo throwing strikes but missing. Turpitudo with a flurry of punches that miss. Turpitudo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jenkins manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Turpitudo has Jenkins in his guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Turpitudo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jenkins's guard. Turpitudo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jenkins's head. Turpitudo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Turpitudo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Jenkins is looking for a triangle but Turpitudo pushes his legs off easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! oot throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent da Silva stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. da Silva slips under a jab. oot throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. da Silva takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. da Silva looks gassed! da Silva fails with a takedown attempt. oot misses with a looping left. oot misses with a looping left. da Silva has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. oot connects with a nice cross there... da Silva is looking wobbly and oot recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send da Silva to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - oot jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Sapponen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Tronk fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sapponen. A solid leg kick lands there for Tronk.
Sapponen has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Tronk. Tronk lands a front kick. Both fighters circling a little - Tronk finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Sapponen takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Tronk throws a nice outside leg kick. Tronk thumps Sapponen with a low kick.

This could be trouble! No, Sapponen has managed to free his arm - good work. Hempii Sapponen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The fighters are battling for position here. Sapponen manages to regain full guard. Nice work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tronk has gone for a leg lock! Sapponen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Tronk's guard. Sapponen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Benny Tronk showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tronk, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sharko throws a hook but Zappa blocks it. Zappa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A chopping leg kick lands by Zappa. Zappa fails to land with a series of punches.

Zappa paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zappa connects with a leg kick. Sharko looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Zappa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sharko. Sharko dives in and grabs Zappa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zappa pushes down on Sharko's head and hops out. Junior Zappa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrej Sharko. Zappa throws the left hand but Sharko avoids the punch easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
