The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaw closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming MUFFIN to the mat! MUFFIN manages to get full guard. Shaw won't allow MUFFIN to sweep him here. Shaw throwing strikes but missing. MUFFIN tries to land a sweep but no joy. MUFFIN preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Shaw landing with the ground and pound. Shaw with a nice head shot there. Shaw has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson misses with a double jab.
Johnson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Blade. Blade shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Blade. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Razor Blade. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss. Johnson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Blade. That did some damage! Some wild striking there from Johnson.
Johnson connects with a leg kick. Blade looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Razor Blade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blade shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense. Johnson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Blade misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
Blade is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Johnson.
Blade is rocked! Blade is breathing heavily. Johnson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Johnson wants it to stay on the feet. Oh Blade is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Johnson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Johnson connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Blade tumbling to the canvas! Johnson pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Blade was done - good stoppage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Diaz dodges the punch combination from Lee.
Lee lands a nice shot that snaps Diaz's head back.

Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Diaz circles away quickly and effectively. Diaz jabs at Lee's body. Lee digs a good hook to Diaz's body.

Diaz tries to bum rush Lee with a series of wild strikes but Lee uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lee punishes Diaz's body with a nice straight punch. Nice uppercut there from Lee. Jacob Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Diaz avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Horrible takedown by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Lee which made him look bad. Lee cracks Diaz with a good jab. Lee misses with a body punch
enabling Diaz to counter with a crisp jab. Lee throws a nice looking combination but Diaz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lee stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Diaz circles away quickly and effectively. Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Diaz loads up on a big right hand but Lee slips the punch. Diaz seems to have got his legs back now. Lee jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Diaz is trying to control the position but Lee postures up. Diaz has a closed guard, preventing Lee from standing up. Diaz working for a triangle but Lee defends it easily.
Diaz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Diaz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lee defends it easily. Lee wants to stand but Diaz is controlling his posture from full guard.

Battcher fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. A right-left combo lands from Battcher. Battcher tests Moreno Cuenca's chin there with a solid looking shot. Battcher scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Moreno Cuenca throws a nice outside leg kick. Battcher blocks a leg kick. No joy there for Battcher, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Moreno Cuenca feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Battcher's calf. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Moreno Cuenca misses with a body shot
and Battcher counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Sloppy strikes from Battcher. Those never looked like landing. Moreno Cuenca tries to clinch but Battcher moves out of range. Battcher really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moreno Cuenca thumps Battcher with a low kick. Battcher closes the distance and lands a one-two. Battcher connects with a crisp jab. Moreno Cuenca tries to close the distance and clinch up but Battcher swats him away and circles back towards the center. Battcher swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Moreno Cuenca. Moreno Cuenca keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Moreno Cuenca is trying hard to land a takedown here. Battcher sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Battcher gets tackled into the cage by Moreno Cuenca. Moreno Cuenca maintains the clinch. Battcher is looking to break free of the clinch but Moreno Cuenca has double underhooks. Battcher is trying to break free. Moreno Cuenca tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Growl avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Burgundy works a leg free and moves into half guard. Burgundy not landing any meaningful shots this time. Burgundy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Growl does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Burgundy sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Growl defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burgundy throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Burgundy with the ground and pound but Growl uses the opportunity to regain guard. Growl preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Burgundy with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Burgundy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Burgundy landing some decent shots from guard. Burgundy is looking to stand up but Growl won't let him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burgundy throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Burgundy is looking to work some ground and pound but Growl has wrist control. Burgundy postures up in Growl's guard and throws a big left but Growl blocks it. Growl pulls Burgundy in close to prevent any damage. Burgundy is looking to stand up but Growl won't let him. Burgundy has gone for a leg lock! Growl slips out almost immediately though and dives into Burgundy's guard. Growl works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Growl throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Burgundy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Growl scores with a couple of nice shots. Growl uses his free foot to push down on Burgundy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Burgundy. Growl connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
It looks like Ron Burgundy has been cut. Burgundy looks gassed! Growl is in the full mount, landing strikes. Growl is in the full mount, landing strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Burgundy is bucking up trying to escape but Growl cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Kane breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
