Ly throws a hook but Petkov avoids it easily.
Petkov just misses with a punch to the body.
Petkov moves out of range of the strikes.
Ly swings for the body but Petkov moves out of range.

Petkov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Petkov fails to land with a series of punches.
Petkov avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Petkov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Petkov staying out of range there.
Petkov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petkov shoots in looking for a takedown. Ly tries to sprawl out of it but Petkov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ly manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ly takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Petkov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jimmy Ly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Petkov.

Petkov feints and as Ly raises his hands in defense, Petkov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Petkov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Petkov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ly has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Petkov has managed to get both his arms back between Ly's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ly is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Petkov frees his head nicely. Oh but Ly has switched to an armbar! Petkov is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
