The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mark shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mockalatz as he jumps to the side.
Joe Mockalatz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mark looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mockalatz is fending him off so far but Mark persists. Nope, Mockalatz circles away and we're back to standing.
Mark chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mockalatz can pounce on him.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Banner has a takedown stuffed.
Hercules looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Banner is fending him off so far but Hercules persists. Nope, Banner circles away and we're back to standing.
Banner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hercules shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Banner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hercules seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Banner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hercules. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hercules won't allow Banner to get back to his feet.

Banner is looking to regain half guard here but Hercules keeps moving and retains side control.

Hercules's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Hercules cracks Banner with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Banner's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The referee warns Banner that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Robert Banner's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
