The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borg misses with a straight right. Makisig fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Borg avoids it really well and circles away. Makisig has a takedown stuffed. Makisig fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bjorn Borg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Batang Makisig. Makisig fails to land the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Makisig fails with an attempt to clinch.
Makisig looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Borg is fending him off so far but Makisig persists. Nope, Borg circles away and we're back to standing. Makisig will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

It looks like Batang Makisig has been cut. Borg with a body punch. A glancing blow. A good leg kick by Makisig. Borg keeps the fight on the outside. Batang Makisig seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Borg throws the left hand but Makisig avoids the punch easily. Makisig tries to close the distance and clinch but Borg swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Makisig throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Makisig tries to close the distance and clinch up but Borg swats him away and circles back towards the center. Makisig looks gassed! Makisig wants to clinch. Makisig misses with a body punch
and Borg counters with a left to the body. Borg throws a shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Makisig closes the distance looking to clinch and Borg counters with a straight right hand. Borg lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Nice straight punches there by Borg. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Borg. This has been an exciting period of action! Borg moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A right-left combo lands from Borg.
Makisig is rocked! Borg swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Makisig. Makisig is still on wobbly legs! Can Borg finish him? Borg scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Borg circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Makisig to the canvas! Makisig doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Borg keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fiddler scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Culture darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fiddler is defending against the submission attempts here by Culture.
Culture wants to pass to mount but Fiddler is defending the position. Culture is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Culture is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fiddler doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Culture. Fiddler avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Culture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fiddler wants to get back to his feet. Culture looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fiddler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Culture lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Culture moves nicely into side control. Culture passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Fiddler! Culture scores with a couple of good head shots there.

It looks like Kiddy Fiddler has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Culture is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fiddler can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Culture is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fiddler can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That has opened up Kiddy Fiddler's cut even more. Fiddler looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Culture wants to take Fiddler's back here but Fiddler is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
