The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jackson.

Johnson shoots in and bounces Jackson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Johnson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Jackson is looking for a triangle but Johnson pushes his legs off easily.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Tank Johnson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Chico's head backwards.
Nice sprawl there from Turner as Chico shoots in.
Turner throws a looping overhand right but Chico ducks down to avoid it.

Turner closes the distance and clinches.

Turner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Chico shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Turner as he jumps to the side.
Turner walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Turner gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Turner lands a takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Turner's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Turner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Turner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
