Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Serg Kharitonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Savage's choice of entrance music: Vote With a Bullet by Corrosion of Conformity. Savage has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Jackson Savage has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savage throws a chopping leg kick but Kharitonov manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Kharitonov lands with a nice body punch. Savage looks gassed! Kharitonov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Savages jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Kharitonov lands a body shot.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kharitonov!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice body kick from Kharitonov. Savage avoids a punch combination nicely.
Savage checks a leg kick. Kharitonov lands a nice looking body kick. Kharitonov thuds a left hand into Savage's body. Kharitonov misses with a looping left. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kharitonov, as that shot connected.
Serg Kharitonov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Savage moves forwards but Kharitonov connects with a nice, crisp jab. Savage on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. A shot to the liver by Kharitonov. Beautiful body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kharitonov swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Savage. A jab lands there for Kharitonov. A decent looking cross lands there for Kharitonov. Savage on the wrong end of a nice hook. Savage takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kharitonov is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Savage moves away from the strike by Kharitonov. A head kick misses from Savage. Kharitonov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That has opened up Jackson Savage's cut even more. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kharitonov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Kharitonov lands with a hook. Savage tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Nice straight punches there by Kharitonov. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kharitonov. Savage needs to keep his hands up - Kharitonov had a free shot at his head there. Kharitonov scores with a one two! Savage had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Kharitonov lands with a shot to the body. Kharitonov lands an overhand right. Kharitonov cracks Savage with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Savage walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Savage's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kharitonov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Savage scrambles back to his feet. Kharitonov lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Savage takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. No joy there for Kharitonov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jackson Savage's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Kharitonov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kharitonov feints and then cracks Savage's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Savage down. Savage takes a body punch but keeps moving. Kharitonov lands a nice looking body shot.
Kharitonov misses with a looping right. Kharitonov works Savage's body with a nice hook. Serg Kharitonov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko throws a hook to the side of Gold's head but Gold sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Emelianenko lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Gold lands with a thumping leg kick.
Emelianenko looks to land a left hand but Gold moved out of range nicely. Emelianenko throws a lazy right hand but Gold sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Emelianenko is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Gold takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

That made a horrendous noise. Gold throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dusko Casic. Well Casic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
