The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laugh misses with a series of wild punches.
Laugh tries to bum rush Wafu with a series of wild strikes but Wafu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Laugh throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Wafu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Laugh's waist but Laugh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wafu off to one side.

Wafu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Wafu wanted to stand there but Laugh had control of the position.

Wafu drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Laugh manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wafu has Laugh in his guard.
Laugh has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wafu is proving hard to escape from.

Wafu is looking for a triangle but Laugh pushes his legs off easily.
Laugh is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Wafu had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Laugh defends it easily.

Wafu working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Laugh has passed into half guard!

Laugh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wafu does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Laugh seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
